Mango Tree Silhouette at Maradi Dawn
Pale blue light from the eastern horizon traces the jagged edges of a mango tree heavy with yellow fruit. The tree stands as a dark silhouette against the brightening sky, its branches reaching over terraced garden plots that fade into the mist. Ground fog pools in the depressions between the earthen mounds, softening the transition from the dark soil to the air. The fruit clusters appear as rounded shapes within the shadowed canopy, their yellow hue barely visible where the rim light catches the outermost leaves. Wet earth reflects the faint dawn glow, and the mist rests on the lower terraces, creating a layered depth across the landscape. one drop of water slides from a leaf tip onto the damp soil below.
