Late morning light falls through the canopy of overhanging trees, casting shifting patches of bright white and deep shadow across a narrow market lane in Southampton. The perspective pulls attention along the lane's length, past stacked crates and hanging produce, to the solitary figure working in the quiet rhythm of late spring.
