Mason Mortaring Stone Blocks at Night in Wałbrzych

Distant street lamps spill a cool, yellowish glow across a low-angle view of a mason working between dressed stone blocks. The worker, clad in dark protective gear, holds a trowel filled with wet mortar, pressing it into the vertical seam of the gray masonry. Heavy overcast clouds obscure the night sky, yet the wet season leaves a sheen on the stone surfaces and the worker's sleeves. The mortar appears thick and gray against the rough-hewn texture of the blocks. Behind the figure, the darkness of Wałbrzych is visible, punctuated only by the faint, blurred lights of distant infrastructure. The low perspective emphasizes the height of the wall and the precision of the manual labor. A fresh smear of wet cement catches the artificial light on the trowel's edge.
