Karate Break in Guapulo Square Golden Mist

Golden light falls through thick mist, softening the edges of a public square in Guapulo, Quito. A karate practitioner stands at the frame's edge, mid-strike with a ridge-hand technique. Splinters of wood fly from the board suspended before them, catching the last rays of the day. The mist hangs low around the subject's legs, obscuring the pavement. Late spring leaves on nearby trees show hints of green against the fading sky. Shadows stretch long across the stone plaza, blending with the gray fog. The wood grain is visible on the broken fragments, sharp against the soft, diffused background. Dust motes swirl in the thin air around the impact point.
