Jungle Vines Overgrown Harvest Field Burgundy

by Joseph Clarke

Cool blue twilight washes the harvested grain field in Burgundy, where thick jungle vines have inexplicably erupted from the dry earth to consume half the landscape. Massive, emerald tendrils twist around the stubble, their glossy leaves against the pale, cut stalks of the wheat. A dark, rotating wall cloud hovers low above the vines, casting a shadow that stretches across the tangled greenery. The mist thickens around the base of the vines, obscuring the ground and blending the roots into the fog. In the foreground, a single vine leaf drips condensation onto a dried ear of grain. The impossible growth creates a dense, suffocating wall against the open sky.
