Herbs in Terracotta Pots on Chimbote Pier Railing

Pale morning light bounces off smooth interior walls to illuminate a row of terracotta pots resting on a weathered wooden pier railing. Green herb leaves unfurl from the clay rims, their edges catching the soft, diffused glow. The pots show faint dust and earth stains, against the rough grain of the wood beneath them. Through the open window frame, a hazy expanse of gray water meets the sky, suggesting the vastness of the Pacific near Chimbote. Shadows stretch gently across the sill, highlighting the texture of dried soil and the porous surface of the terracotta. One droplet of condensation rests on the lower rim of the nearest pot, refracting the muted light.
