Chennai Weathered Wooden Stool

A weathered wooden stool sits on a cracked concrete porch in a Chennai home, lit by the soft, diffused light of early morning. The rough grain of the timber is highlighted by the pale dawn glow, revealing deep scratches and the natural wear of daily use. Beside the leg of the stool, a faded red cloth rests against the base, its texture softened by the cool air. Dust motes dance in the slanted beam of sunlight that cuts across the floorboards near the doorway.
