Under the flat, shadowless wash of noon, a narrow alley in Sham Shui Po reveals a tailor’s cramped workspace spilling onto the pavement. A worn awl rests on a cluttered table beside spools of thread and a small, open needle case, evidence of midday repair work. Above, a faded blue scarf hangs limp from a rusted rail, its fabric stiff in the heat. Below, a few pigeons peck at crumbs near a plastic dish drainer holding rinsed tools, their cooing barely audible over the distant traffic.
