Golden Wheat Stalks Beside Tractor Track

Deep indigo shadows cloak the dark, clumpy soil of a Belarusian field while golden wheat stalks stand rigid under the pale starlight. The dry season leaves the grain heads heavy and brittle, their pale yellow husks catching the faint ground glow that reflects off the tractor track. Three distinct stalks occupy the right third of the view, their sharp edges contrasting against the rough, furrowed earth. The air remains still, preserving the texture of the dried chaff and the deep cracks in the black dirt. One shadow stretches across the furrow, showing the low angle of the night sky. The rigid posture of the wheat suggests a harvest waiting to begin.
