Wheat Headland Tracked by Tractor in Ghardaia

Dark, churned earth forms a deep furrow where heavy tractor tires have pressed into the soil beside a field of young wheat. The stalks, pale green and tender in early spring, stand in dense rows that recede into the distance under a heavy overcast sky. Dappled shadows from nearby trees fall across the golden-green leaves and the wet, dark mud, creating a mosaic of light and shade.
