Golden Light on Winter Kelp Near Naples

Amber light penetrates exceptionally clear water, illuminating dark green kelp fronds swaying in a slow ocean current. The strands rise from a tide-cut rock ledge beside the Spaccanapoli coast, their surfaces glistening with suspended particles that catch the late afternoon sun. Faint, slow-moving ripples at the water's surface distort the golden hues above. Cold winter clarity defines the scene, while the light retains a warm, fire-like glow as it reaches the depths. The rock face, rough and textured with marine growth, anchors the view on the left, while the kelp drifts rightward in the current. One frond tip bends slightly under the water's pressure, its edge sharp against the bright, sun-dappled background.
