Gold Embroidery Stitches on Velvet Inside Seed Pod

Pale yellow light from a high window washes over the interior of a split seed pod resting on a rough wooden surface. Inside the hollow cavity, a small square of deep crimson velvet displays dense rows of gold thread embroidery. The metallic sheen of the gold catches the flat noon glare, creating sharp highlights along the twisted fibers. The velvet nap appears soft and dense, against the rigid, papery texture of the dried pod walls surrounding it. Fine dust particles float in the air, illuminated by the broad skylight bouncing off the pale, unfinished walls. The background remains sharp, showing the intricate vein patterns of the pod, while the immediate foreground of the velvet blurs slightly, showing the depth of the embroidery stitches. One gold loop hangs precariously over the edge of the fabric.
