Glass Curtain Wall and Tram Wires at Twilight in in a lantern-lined temple precinct in Zambia

Glass Curtain Wall and Tram Wires at Twilight

by Glenn Buckley

Rain-slicked glass panels of a modern curtain wall reflect the soft blue of the twilight sky, standing adjacent to taut tram wires that slice across the frame. Lanterns strung along the perimeter of the temple precinct cast warm, amber pools of light that bead on the wet surface, creating a stark contrast against the cool urban tones. Distant town glow pulses on the horizon, visible through the rain and the transparent glass. The turn of seasons leaves the nearby vegetation damp and dark, clinging to the stone base of the structure. Droplets slide down the smooth vertical lines, merging with the reflections of the overhead wires and the rhythmic glow of the lanterns.
