Overcast midday light diffuses evenly across a narrow Naples alleyway where a weathered wooden door frame dominates the foreground. A ginger cat perches on a rusted iron gate hinge, its fur catching the flat white sky reflected in the wet cobblestones below. Behind the animal, a faded blue shutter hangs slightly ajar, revealing a glimpse of peeling ochre plaster and a small terracotta pot with a wilting succulent. One nickel latch on the gate catches a dull glint of ambient light, contrasting sharply with the rough texture of the corroded metal.
