Eclipse Shadow Crosses Israel Plateau at Night

A sharp, dark wedge of an eclipse shadow cuts across the undulating high plateau of Israel, moving beneath a thin veil of late autumn clouds. The breakwater in the foreground, constructed of rough gray stone, glows faintly under the rhythmic sweep of a lighthouse beam. Moonlight falls through the scattered cloud cover, casting cool silver highlights on the dry scrub and dusty earth. Distant haze lingers low along the horizon, softening the edge where the land meets the night sky.
