Cold moonlight spills across the canvas floor of a festival tent, illuminating a musician seated with a hammered dulcimer resting on their lap. The instrument's triangular wooden frame catches the pale glow, while dramatic, heavy clouds obscure most of the sky above. Midsummer air hangs still in the predawn darkness, where the market stalls remain empty and silent. The performer's hands move with rhythmic precision, holding small mallets against the tightly strung metal wires. Shadows stretch long and sharp across the ground, meeting the edge of a wooden support pole that anchors the tent structure. A faint reflection of the moon glimmers on the polished surface of the instrument's soundboard.
