Distant amber light spills across the metal rim of a snare drum, illuminating two wooden drumsticks lying parallel on the white drumhead. The hardware gleams faintly under the glow of street lamps filtering through the early spring darkness. Behind the instrument, heavy stage curtains hang in deep folds, partially obscured by a thin layer of atmospheric haze. Coiled black cables snake across the floorboards, disappearing into the shadows of the concert hall. A soft blur of foreground bokeh frames the scene, suggesting a shallow depth of field that isolates the percussion setup. The metal lugs catch the dim illumination, creating sharp highlights against the matte finish of the wood shells. One cable tie rests near the edge of the drum, marking the quiet preparation before the first note.
