Dried Hydrangeas in Fukuoka

A weathered wooden window box sits on a narrow balcony ledge in Fukuoka during the deep blue hour. Dried hydrangea heads fill the planter, their papery purple petals catching the faint ambient glow from nearby streetlights. The rough grain of the timber contrasts with the delicate, brittle texture of the preserved flowers above. One rusted nail protrudes from the side of the box, marking the passage of time.
