Golden Hour on Zinnias in Kyoto
by Antonio Bass
A cluster of vibrant zinnias stands in a weathered wooden planter box on a narrow balcony overlooking the Kyoto skyline. The low golden hour sun catches the rough, textured petals, highlighting shades of orange and deep red against the fading blue sky. Behind the flowers, traditional wooden lattice windows of a nearby machiya house frame the background, adding depth to the composition. One bee rests on the center of the nearest bloom, its fuzzy body illuminated by the warm, directional light.
