Golden hour light slants through the narrow canyon of a Tai O fishing village stilt house, illuminating a cluster of weathered wooden chairs stacked against a damp, salt-stained wall. A faded blue towel edge drapes over a rusted iron rail, catching the warm amber glow that contrasts sharply with the deep shadows in the crevices of the timber. Below, the dark, oily water of the canal reflects the neon signs of a nearby seafood restaurant, creating a shimmering path of artificial color against the natural sunset. A small wicker basket sits on the lower deck, filled with wet fishing nets, its texture rough against the smooth, slick planks.
