Crystal-Edged Train on Parquet in Jerusalem Tailor Shop

Crimson velvet stretches along the worn parquet floor, its hem lined with thousands of faceted crystals that catch the jagged strips of electric blue light. A heavy wooden tailoring table sits beside the garment, holding scattered chalk marks and a pair of open shears. Neon signs from the street outside cast sharp reflections across the fabric, turning the stones into a field of frozen sparks. Fine dust particles float in the air, suspended in the beams where the light strikes the floorboards. The early summer evening leaves the room lit by the last blue glow. The crystals reflect the neon tube, creating a jagged line of white light that runs along the velvet edge. Dust motes drift near the hem, suspended in the shaft of illumination.
