Crescent Moon Over Madagascar Radio Tower in from a moonlit breakwater in Madagascar

Crescent Moon Over Madagascar Radio Tower

by Darryl Carpenter

A pale crescent moon hangs suspended near the tip of a rusted steel antenna atop a radio tower. The structure rises from a stone breakwater along the Madagascar coast, its weathered metal catching faint starlight. Below, the dark water laps gently against concrete blocks, while a thin layer of distant haze softens the horizon line. The night sky is deep indigo, scattered with sharp stars that illuminate the tower's lattice framework. The moon sits precisely in the upper right third of the view, creating a stark contrast against the black metal silhouette. One rivet on the antenna base reflects a tiny glint of light, anchoring the massive structure to the earth.
