Crane Reflection in Dalmatian Puddle at Dusk

Rust-colored steel beams of a construction crane stretch across the twilight sky, their inverted image rippling in a shallow puddle beneath a concrete overpass. The water mirrors the heavy machinery against a backdrop of distant town lights glowing softly on the horizon. Fine dust particles hang suspended in shafts of fading amber light, catching the last warmth of the day. Wet asphalt surrounds the pool, reflecting the cool blue tones of the overcast late autumn evening. The gantries above cast long, sharp shadows that intersect with the fractured reflection below. One crack in the concrete edge breaks the smooth surface of the water, distorting the steel structure into jagged, shimmering fragments.
