Dark rain streaks the glass of a workshop window in Kotri's old quarter as evening blue deepens into night. Inside, a clockmaker's workbench stands backlit, rendering the artisan a solid silhouette against the fading sky. Tiny brass gears and coiled springs rest on the worn wood, catching faint highlights that define their metallic curves. Droplets race down the pane, blurring the view of the street beyond into soft, shifting shapes.
