Mist rests on the weathered concrete steps of a Jagalchi Market stall, where a vendor in a faded blue rubber apron wipes down a stainless steel prep table. The damp air softens the harsh edges of hanging mackerel and stacks of fresh radish, while a single dust mop leans against a crate of ice. Behind the counter, a tailor’s shears rest on a cutting board, unused but present among the seafood. Steam rises from a nearby pot, blurring the background of corrugated metal roofs and distant harbor cranes.
