Calligraphy Practice Sheet on Beijing Pier Railing

Neon reflections wash across a white sheet of paper resting on a weathered metal railing. The paper displays bold black Chinese characters written in ink, their strokes sharp against the bright background. Deep blue evening light fills the space behind the railing, against the warm pink and cool green hues bouncing off the wet metal surface. The paper lies flat, slightly curled at the edges where it meets the cold rail. Shadows from the characters stretch softly across the fibers, defined by the artificial glow rather than natural sun. Small droplets of water glisten on the railing nearby, catching the neon lights in tiny, distorted points. The ink remains wet and glossy, reflecting the ambient colors in subtle streaks along the thickest lines.
