A wet asphalt street in Barrio Logan reflects the neon glow of a nearby taqueria sign, casting long, distorted streaks of electric blue and crimson across the puddles. A delivery scooter, parked haphazardly near a chain-link fence, has its side mirror catching a sharp specular highlight from a passing streetlamp. Leaning against the fence is a yellow plastic broom, its bristles matted with dried mud and debris, standing in stark contrast to the slick, reflective pavement. In the background, the blurred lights of traffic move along the adjacent boulevard, while a discarded paper cup sits near the curb, stained with coffee.
