Brie and Honeycomb on Stone Ledge

Warm candlelight washes a wedge of creamy brie and a chunk of golden honeycomb resting on a rough, porous stone ledge. The soft white rind of the cheese contrasts with the translucent amber cells of the comb, both glistening under the flickering flame. Fine dust particles float in the vertical shafts of light, catching the glow like suspended gold. Through the open window behind, the cool blue twilight of Nevşehir begins to fade as city lights start to twinkle in the distance. The stone surface shows deep cracks and weathered textures, at the base of the delicate food in the ancient rock of the region. one drop of honey rests on the edge of the comb, refracting the warm light.
