Boab Tree at Sunset in Australian Outback

Golden firelight warms the massive, bulbous trunk of a boab tree standing alone against the fading sky. Late autumn air holds a thin layer of ground fog that pools in the hollows of the red earth, softening the base of the ancient bark. The rough, grey surface of the trunk contrasts with the smooth, orange glow of the setting sun. Layers of scrubby vegetation recede into the distance, creating a deep sense of wild, untamed space. Shadows stretch long across the dusty ground, marking the transition from day to night. The horizon line dips low, showing the isolation of the tree in this vast, open landscape.
