Blue Hour Bicycle Trails Through Rain Near Shorouk
Deep shadows cloak the road surface near Shorouk while streaks of white and red light carve paths through the damp air. Long exposure shows the motion of bicycles and umbrellas as blurred ribbons of color moving toward a distant vanishing point. Dramatic clouds hang low and heavy above the horizon, their undersides illuminated by the last fading blue light of twilight. The dry season leaves the roadside soil hard and dusty, against the slick sheen of the wet pavement. Rim light traces the edges of the umbrellas and the wheels of the bikes, creating thin, glowing outlines against the dark foreground. Converging lines of the road pull the eye sharply toward the center of the frame where the light trails merge into the gloom. One red taillight streak cuts across the bottom right corner, anchoring the motion.
