Blue Dragon Ceramic Jar on Gabon Trail

A ceramic ginger jar painted with a blue and white dragon motif rests directly on the damp, leaf-littered ground of a game trail in Gabon. Bright open daylight from the late morning illuminates the glossy white glaze, highlighting the intricate blue scales of the dragon winding around the vessel's curved body. Rainy season moisture coats the surrounding ferns and broad leaves in a thin sheen, while a fine mist of sea spray hangs in the air, blurring the dense green background into soft layers of foliage. The jar's smooth, hard surface contrasts with the rough, decaying wood and mud beneath it. A small puddle near the base reflects the jar's blue rim and the pale sky above.
