Birds Nest Fern Silhouette in Tamil Nadu Rainforest

Honeyed evening light falls through the canopy, casting the Birds Nest fern into a sharp, dark silhouette against the glowing backdrop. The broad, wavy leaves fan out in a tight rosette, their edges catching a faint rim of amber fire. Humid air hangs heavy, visible as a soft haze that blurs the deep forest background into indistinct greens and browns. Droplets of recent rain rest on the leaf surfaces, reflecting the fading sun. The texture of the foliage appears thick and leathery, weathered by the tropical climate. One droplet slides down the curve of a lower frond, catching the last light before vanishing into the shadowed crook of the tree.
