Bench Debris in Auckland

Bright late morning light washes over a weathered green park bench in a Auckland suburban reserve, its slats scarred by decades of use. A discarded, dented aluminum tea canister sits abandoned near the armrest, its surface dull under the harsh sun. Beside it, two overripe pears have split open, their flesh dark and soft against the peeling paint. One dried drip of brown juice stains the enamel edge of a nearby litter bin, against the vibrant green of native flax plants pushing through the concrete cracks.
