Bare Tree Trunk in Berlin

A solitary tree stands rooted in the damp soil of a Berlin park, its bare branches reaching upward into the thick gray mist of dawn. The rough, dark bark of the trunk is textured with deep fissures and patches of pale lichen that catch the faint ambient light. Behind the tree, a weathered stone bench sits empty, its surface slick with condensation and partially obscured by the low-hanging fog. One dried leaf rests on the lower branch, trembling slightly in the cold morning air.
