Late afternoon mist rests on the wet season riverbank in Ichalkaranji, softening the distant shoreline while sharp reflections dance across the water's surface. A barber stands beside the landing, holding a straight razor against a client's neck with practiced precision. The man receiving the shave sits under a simple shelter, his face tilted upward in the dim, reflected light. Thick vapor obscures the background, isolating the two figures against the dark, rippling water. Bold contrast defines the scene, where the gleaming steel of the blade cuts through the gray haze. Droplets of water glisten on the barber's sleeve, and the wet ground reflects the pale sky above, at the base of the moment in the humid air. one drop of water falls from the razor's tip.
