Barber Shaves Customer in Salvador Window Light
by Ada Adams
Thick mist softens the view through a leafy window, casting dappled shadows across a barbershop interior in Salvador. A barber stands close to the frame, holding a straight razor against a customer's neck while the client sits in a wooden chair. Sunlight falls through the canopy outside, creating shifting patches of gold on the barber's apron and the customer's white shirt. The air hangs heavy, visible as a hazy veil between the subjects and the glass. Green leaves press against the windowpane, their edges blurred by the moisture. A small mirror on the wall reflects the side of the customer's face, catching a sharp glint of the steel blade. The low angle emphasizes the height of the window and the vertical lines of the wooden shutters framing the light.
