Rich amber sunset light washes over a trolley climbing a steep, dusty incline near Nakuru. The dry season leaves the hillside golden and brittle under the wheels. From behind, the vehicle rises against a distant bay view, yet the rear window reveals a stark impossibility. Inside the glass, a room with tiled floors and indoor potted plants sits clearly visible, disconnected from the outdoor landscape outside. Sea spray mists the air, catching the low sun in shimmering particles that float between the trolley's metal frame and the window. The contrast is sharp: the rough, outdoor terrain meets the smooth, artificial interior seen through the glass. One shadow from the window frame cuts across the dusty steps of the trolley.
