Rich amber light floods the freshly irrigated rows near Az Zubayr, casting long shadows across the dark, moist soil. A heavy wooden wagon with iron-rimmed wheels sits stationary on the dirt track, its handles worn smooth by use. Low-hanging gray clouds press against the horizon, diffusing the golden sun that dips toward the earth. The wagon bed holds a stack of folded burlap sacks, their rough texture visible in the warm glow. Dust rests on the lower spokes, while the wet ground reflects the sky's shifting hues. The metal axles gleam faintly where the light strikes them directly against the darker wood.
