Weathered Tea Picker Portrait Golden Hour

Rough-hewn wicker straps rest across the shoulders of a tea picker, pressing deep lines into sun-leathered skin. The face bears the map of decades under a sky turning amber at the village edge near Kota Kinabalu. Late afternoon firelight warms the deep creases around the eyes and the coarse texture of the cotton shirt. A wide basket sits low on the hip, its woven pattern catching the soft glow. Negative space frames the figure against the fading blue of a clear day, isolating the weathered features. The light sharpens the dust on the cheekbones and highlights the frayed edge of the strap where it meets the collar. Shadows lengthen softly across the rough ground behind.
