Rich amber sunset light floods the interior of a prefabricated job trailer, illuminating a row of white hard hats clipped to a rough plywood wall. The golden hour glow casts long, warm shadows across the textured grain of the wood, highlighting the dust that coats every surface. Sawdust and concrete particles hang in the air, catching the low-angle sun and drifting toward the open doorway where damp earth meets the frame. Outside, the skeletal steel and timber of a building shell stand in silhouette against the brightening sky. The hard hats, arranged in a deliberate line, reflect the light with a soft sheen, against the matte, gritty texture of the unfinished construction materials surrounding them. A fine layer of red clay dust settles on the rim of the nearest helmet.
