Aerial Twilight Solar Plant Bulgaria Rooftops
by Jack Calhoun
Indigo twilight washes the high-altitude view of Bulgaria, where a massive solar thermal facility dominates the landscape above patterned city rooftops. Rows of mirror arrays stretch across the terrain, their reflective surfaces catching the last faint light of day to form stark, linear silhouettes against the darkening sky. The dry season leaves the ground in muted earth tones, against the geometric precision of the installation. Wind whips through the scene, bending the thin support structures of the mirrors and showing motion frozen in time. Below, the dense grid of residential tiles creates a textured mosaic that fades into the shadows as the sun dips below the horizon. The edge of a distant hill cuts sharply across the bottom corner, at the base of the expansive topographic wonder in the rugged Balkan terrain.
