Late summer rain sheets across rows of citrus trees near Alicante, turning the ground into a mosaic of dark greens and wet browns. The low-angle sunset pierces the gray sky, casting long, sharp shadows that slice diagonally across the irrigated fields. Water pools in the furrows, reflecting the fading orange light against the matte soil. The geometric precision of the orchard layout creates a stark contrast with the chaotic rhythm of the falling rain. Each tree stands as a dark anchor in the grid, while the irrigation channels form bright, linear veins cutting through the landscape. The diagonal lines of the rows pull the eye from the bottom left toward the upper right, showing the tension between natural growth and human design. one drop of water beads on a leaf edge, catching the last glow of the day.
