Aerial Desert Switchbacks Leh Ridge Autumn

High altitude light bleaches the wind-cut ridge into pale ochre and stark white stone. Sharp, geometric switchbacks carve a dark ribbon through the arid slope, their hard angles against the soft, broken layer of low clouds drifting below. Above the ridge line, rows of prayer flags flutter in thin vertical strips, marking the boundary between earth and sky. The late morning sun casts short, precise shadows that define the texture of the dry earth without softening its harshness. Patches of blue sky pierce through the cloud cover, creating clean atmospheric separation. The composition remains minimalist, focusing entirely on the linear rhythm of the road against the vast, silent terrain.
