Abandoned Workbench in Adelaide

A misty dawn settles over the Adelaide Park Lands, where the damp air rests on the smooth, pale sandstone of a heritage building’s corner. In the foreground, a weathered wooden workbench sits abandoned near a garden gate, its surface marked by thin scratches and faint water rings from overnight rain. Resting atop the wood is a rusted hacksaw, its handle worn by years of use, lying next to a small, unlit taper candle that has melted into a pool of wax. Beyond the bench, the mist obscures the distant gum trees, leaving only their silhouettes visible against the gray sky.
