Wooden Door in Beijing

A weathered wooden door stands slightly ajar in a hutong alley, its surface darkened by the persistent light rain at dusk. A simple brass handle is visible on the right side, showing signs of age and frequent use by residents. Raindrops streak down the painted wood, pooling in the grain and highlighting the texture of the old lacquer. A small, green ceramic pot sits on the step just inside the threshold, catching the faint ambient light.
