Stainless Steel Latch in Hong Kong

A stainless steel latch secures a weathered wooden door in a narrow alleyway behind a traditional shop in Hong Kong under the flat overcast light. The metal surface reflects the dull grey sky while rust spots mark the edges where the paint has chipped away over time. Beside the door frame, a small ceramic jar holds several wooden clothespins, their natural grain against the glossy white glaze of the container. Water droplets rest on the rim of the jar, evidence of the recent rain that dampens the concrete steps leading up to the entrance.
