Winter orchard rows striped by snow and irrigation water

Cold silver dawn light flattens the landscape into a grid of parallel lines stretching toward the horizon. Narrow bands of white snow alternate with dark, damp earth and shallow irrigation ditches filled with still water. The water surfaces catch the low angle of the sun, creating sharp, bright reflections that cut across the muted tones of the dormant orchard. Between the rows, the texture of the frozen ground appears rough and granular, against the smooth, mirror-like quality of the water channels. The perspective looks directly down, eliminating depth cues to emphasize the rhythmic pattern of the agricultural layout. Dark shadows from the bare trees stretch across the snow, defining the precise spacing of the planting. One ditch edge reflects the pale sky in a thin, unbroken line of light.
