Winter Helmet on Museum Plinth First Light

Soft, overcast dawn light fills the indoor space of a Montpellier museum, settling into corners where a single lamp glows with warm yellow intensity. A weathered helmet rests centered on a white museum plinth, viewed from directly above. Its surface bears deep abrasion marks and scuffs, revealing layers of gray and brown beneath the original finish. Leather straps drape loosely across the rim, secured by tarnished metal buckles that catch the dim illumination. The cold season outside is hinted at by the stark, quiet stillness of the room and the heavy, textured look of the worn materials. A thin shadow falls across the helmet's left side, at the base of the object against the smooth, pale stone of the display base.
