Fluorescent light spills across a wooden rack holding folded calf blankets inside a ranch corral in Chugoku. Winter drizzle leaves a sheen on the rough timber and wet rope. Straw and rubber textures show the wear of daily operations. Barn dust hangs in the beam of light above the rack. Water reflects the gray sky on the ground nearby. The rack stands sturdy against the damp air. A wet rope hangs loosely from the top bar, its fibers dark with moisture. Rain falls steadily across the scene. The final drop slides down the edge of a folded wool blanket.
