A wet cobblestone slope in the Ribeira district reflects the overcast winter sky, framing a bright yellow tram track that cuts diagonally through the scene. A white cat sits perched on the edge of a blue azulejo-tiled window ledge, its fur ruffled by the damp breeze rolling in from the Douro River. Behind the animal, the deep red facade of a traditional bakery displays hanging bundles of dried peppers and garlic, adding textured contrast to the smooth ceramic tiles. One droplet of water rests on the sharp edge of a terracotta flower pot, catching the diffuse gray light before falling onto the slick stone below.
